PawSwap is a community platform for dachshund owners to exchange dog-sitting. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to run the service.
What we collect
- Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
- Profile information — your neighbourhood, city, bio, phone number, and profile photo, which you provide voluntarily.
- Dog information — your dog's name, breed, age, sex, and temperament traits.
- Location data — your approximate coordinates (derived from your neighbourhood and city via geocoding) to show your pin on the map.
- Swap activity — records of swap requests, acceptances, completions, and reviews you participate in.
How we use it
- To operate the swap matching service and show your profile to other members.
- To send transactional emails (swap requests, acceptances, review reminders). We do not send marketing emails.
- Your phone number is shared only with the other party in a swap you have accepted — it is never shown publicly.
Where it's stored
Data is stored on Supabase, which uses servers in the EU. Profile photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Transactional emails are sent via Resend.
Your rights (GDPR)
As a user in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your profile information from the Edit profile page. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.
Third parties
We use Mapbox to render the map and geocode addresses. Mapbox may process your approximate location in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to anyone.
